Clinically Excellent & Gospel Centered

Many people in the Christian community are in need of counseling services. However, there remain concerns about possible disregard for one’s spiritual beliefs or a lack of understanding of the intersection between mental and spiritual well-being. Restored Care & Counseling’s core values are to provide clinically informed counseling that is rooted in the gospel and affordable. RC&C is therefore committed to hiring care providers including: biblical counselors, trainees, associates, and licensed therapists who share those same values. Our vision for growth and healing is larger than a few one-on-one meetings with a counselor. Rarely does lasting change happen in isolation. We will likely encourage you to be involved in the life of your community as we meet together.

Our approach is holistic in that we engage both the study of theology and psychology. Our counsel will be rooted in scriptural principles rather than solely those of psychology or psychiatry. We believe that the Bible speaks to all of life and to all of its problems, but sometimes it takes careful thought and prayerful wisdom to know how to make those connections. We don’t believe that the Bible is simply a how-to book or a recipe book for happiness. We believe that the Bible ultimately points us to a person and a relationship – Jesus Christ as our Savior and Redeemer.

We believe that lasting change comes when people learn to see themselves and their problems in the context of a living, vital relationship with Jesus. This does not mean that you must be a Christian to profit from counseling; however, our counselors are informed by a biblical worldview and draw from biblical wisdom. The Bible is never brought to bear in an artificial or heavy-handed way. Our providers seek to respect where you are on your spiritual journey and consider the importance of your culture and life story as we work together.

The RC&C team currently includes a diversity of professionals such as: a licensed clinical psychologist, biblical counselor, and a therapist-in-training. Professionals who are eligible for licensure in California are currently licensed or in process. California does not license coaches or biblical counselors. You will be referred outside of RC&C if it is determined by you or your care provider that you would benefit from treatment beyond the scope of care available from our team.

It is our desire to see the body of Christ restored to wholeness in body, mind, and spirit.

Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

Under federal law, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. You can ask any healthcare provider for a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling non-emergency services. This includes the estimated cost of an initial evaluation, therapy sessions, and other services we offer. If you receive a medical bill that is at least $400 higher than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the charges. Please save a copy of your Good Faith Estimate for reference. For questions about your right to a cost estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059. We’re committed to providing transparent estimates, so you can make informed decisions.

Therapy Never Includes SexUAL BEHAVIOUR

California’s lawmakers and licensing boards want the public to know that professional therapy never includes sexual contact between a therapist and a client. It also never includes inappropriate sexual suggestions, or any other kind of sexual behavior between a therapist and a client. Sexual contact of any kind between a therapist and a client is unethical and illegal in the State of California. Additionally, with regard to former clients, sexual contact within two years after termination of therapy is also illegal and unethical. It is always the responsibility of the therapist to ensure that sexual contact with a client, whether consensual or not, does not occur.
